WOW.. So, this is SUPER late, but I figure better late than never.  Honestly, this is the first chance I have had to really sit down and think about this service.  So “today” was a big Sunday in the life of our church.

1.  It marked the end of our summer series on the Sermon on the mount (which was an incredible series btw.  Listen back on our website at www.kingsvalley.ca if you missed it)

2. It marked the beginning of our fall church season.

3. It was our annual ministry celebration and baptism Sunday which we have dubbed “the annual shareholder party.”

Here is what happened:

True Love (with loop)

Our God Saves

Hosanna (with loop)

Baptisms

Jesus all for Jesus

Sermon (woman at the well)

Baptisms

Jesus Paid it all

Did you feel the mountains Tremble

As you can see, it was a GREAT time of celebration.  The Baptisms (14 of them) were SO powerful, and it was clear that our entire church community was completely amped by it.  They were excited to be in church, excited to worship, and excited by what God is doing in and through us.  By the time we got to Jesus paid it all, the feeling in the room was pretty intense, all were singing at the top of their lungs, declaring the simple, yet profound truth.

It was fun on a band level because a) I got to lead with the KJB guys, which was fun on a musical level to begin to work towards gelling etc… which I felt pretty good about. b. I think I can speak for all of us who were leading/playing that day, that it was a joy to be part of that morning, to be able to serve and worship that way.  It was definitely special.

All in all, it was an INCREDIBLE day of worship with 560 of my closest friends.  LOVED it.  Pray for many, many more days like this to come.

BRENT
