We had our first SNT (Sunday Night Thing)…whatever you want to call it…worship night for the first time this year and I felt like we truly met with our God.  It was one of those worship times where as the worship leader, I forgot I was even on the stage.  I might as well have been in the crowd worshipping with everyone as one body, one offering of praise and love to the God that fills our hearts with an excitement to pour ourselves out to him.  This was a night where as a group of followers, we were starting to open ourselves completely to what God wanted and continues to want to do.  We sang the song From the Inside Out, and that song is a prayer from our soul crying out for the love and grace and hope of our God.  And I know for me, I needed to sing that song.  I needed a declaration that even when things aren’t perfect, when I feel inadequate, when everything…EVERYTHING…may be torn to shreds around me, my soul is going to cry that God, Your light is going to shine when everything else is dark, Your glory goes beyond anything in this world.  And then to follow that song with Came To My Rescue was perfect.  This is was night where my heart connected with our Savior in a way that totally went beyond anything I could have created or chased after.  God gave hope to my heart when I definitely needed it.

I am so excited for these nights to continue this year…and for as long as God puts it in our hearts to do it.  I encourage you to open up, let our Creator rip your heart open and pour a new life, a new passion, a new desire, to worship Him with absolutely everything you have.  No matter what it looks like to the world or people around you.  Our God is worthy to be praised with everything we have, all our strength, whether we are at a Sunday night worship time, Sunday morning service, walking down the street or pacing our house at night because we CANNOT get over the troubles taking over our heart.  God is worthy to be praised with everything we are.

“from the inside out Lord my soul cries out”
