Better is One Day
Our God
Give Us Clean Hands
Jesus All for Jesus
I know I keep saying it but I am so excited about this year at KVWC!! Sometimes in your life things just feel dark and it can be difficult to see the Spirit’s hand moving even though you know it is. But lately I have been seeing (in big and small ways) the fruits of my prayers. I feel like the Holy Spirit is renewing folks in our church and in our community and something tells me it’s just the tip of the iceberg!
So worshipping through music these days just feels awesome. The more I see His hand moving, the more I just want to bless His name in any way I can. This week was my first Sunday officially leading the other band (Chris, Kevin, and Anthony and Paul Brandon joined us on keys). We’re mixing up the teams this year which I think is great for collaboration and connection between all of the worship team members. Everyone will get to play and sing with everyone which I think is cool. John continues to bless me with his enthusiasm for worship and for the music. He is so keen and pumped about his surroundings. Laura and Dan were singing with us too. It’s a privilege to sing with such incredible people of faith and people that have meant to so much to me over the years. Laura and Dan are both people that have been such good friends to me and my family. So walking in Sunday morning was neat because even though it was our first time playing together, the players and singers were already connected.
I based the song choices this week completely on Pastor Jim’s sermon. Boy did he handle that message well. Judgement is not an easy subject to tackle but he did with gusto! And instead of feeling “judged”, I felt inspired. :) I felt like the spirit of the music and the message tied together well. I was especially blessed by Give Us Clean Hands when the band played a little quieter and I could really hear folks singing! It warms my heart to hear people singing praises to Jesus! I always feel like it’s a glimpse of what heaven will be like.
I want to also thank Mike McCormick for his service on the sound. He really is a trooper dealing with all of our monitor requests and his house mixes are awesome. It has been a pleasure working with him over the last year. Things are really coming together in the Worship Arts department!
Have a great week everyone…see you Sunday!
