Sunday was a day of firsts. It was the first Sunday of the fall rotation for the worship leaders and musicians. I am really looking forward to the new format of mixing up the bands and leaders a bit in an effort to bring the best out of everyone while reaching toward developing a sound and style of worship unique to Kings Valley. We also played the song Our God. This was the first time I had personally led the song, and the second time for our congregation, so it was still brand new. Our God is an amazing song with a powerful declaration.
Our God is Greater, our God is Stronger, God you are higher than any other. Our God is Healer, awesome in power, our God, our God!
I think this is going to be a song of healing and strength for our church family in the months and years to come. People are already grabbing onto it, and this was the case on Sunday.
We also debuted a new loop created by Anthony Moore. It was some backing tracks for the song you’re beautiful which I feel brought the song to a whole new level.
As a band I felt like we were together, or “on,” and overall was pleased with the morning from a musical standpoint.
There were tons of new faces at the gathering, which is always exciting. I can honestly say I am more pumped for this fall at our church than any other fall here to date. God is on the move, and I am pumped to be a part of it.
